Normandy Beach Yacht Club Commissioned Print by
Virginia Perle

In the summer of 1999 the Board of Directors commissioned Virginia Perle, a noted Toms River artist to paint an original water color of the new Normandy Beach Yacht Club.

During the summer of 1999 Mrs. Perle spent several Sundays taking photographs of our Sunday races in preparation for doing the painting. The painting was completed in the late Spring of 2000 and was unveiled at a Sunday Champagne Party in July of 2000. Shortly thereafter the original painting was hung over the fireplace in the club, where it resides today.

In addition to the painting, the Board also commissioned a limited number of signed and number prints. Since these are limited edition prints, once they have all been purchased, no more will be available. Monies for the prints were used to defray the cost of the painting and the purchase of the prints. Once all costs were covered any additional monies received are used to support the Normandy Beach Yacht Club Sailing Programs.

There are still a few unframed prints available. The print may be purchased from Betsy Foster.
